A system of telescopic spectator seating has the seat levels and their support platforms (11, 12) sliding into each other to form a compact storage pack. The top row of seats (14) folds downwards onto the next platform (12) during the folding process to reduce the overall height of the folded pack and to enable the folded seats to slide into a storage space with limited headroom. The folded seating also presents a blank front wall to close the storage recess.
