Metallocene complexes of metals of the 4th, 5th or 6th subgroup of the periodic table of elements, whereby at least one substituted or unsubstituted cyclopentadienyl radical is linked to an element from group III of the periodic system of elements. Said element from group III of the periodic system of elements is a component in a binding link between the cyclopentadienyl radical and the metal ion, carrying a nitrogenxide, phosphorous or sulphur organic group as the only other substituent.
