An insulating mat is supplied on a roll and is printed on one side with markings which help the installer cut out special shapes, to insulate around non flat contours. The markings comprise broken lines lengthways along the mat and angular markings to cut sloping edges. The angular markings can be an arc with various angles and spaced at intervals along the mat. Other markings identify the product and manufacturer.
