The surface grading machine has an engine powered towing vehicle (20) that tows the grading machine (38) This has a blade (16) that is lowered to the working height. The blade is steered by a pair of linear hydraulic cylinder actuators (28) on opposite sides. The actuators are electro hydraulically operated with inputs generated by a controller in the towing vehicle.
