Polyurethane binder includes elastomeric and thermoplastic polymer polyols. Two component polyurethane coating material includes a binder containing: (a) a polyol component comprising at least two polymer polyols with: (1) an elastic polyol, as a discrete phase in (2) a thermoplastic polyol; and (b) a polyisocyanate component with a viscosity = 50-1 /* 10<4> mPa.s comprising at least one polyisocyanate, in amounts equivalent to an NCO:OH ratio = (0.2:1)-(5:1). The binder comprises an emulsion or solution. The polyol comprises at least two vinyl polymer polyols. An Independent claim is also included for production of the coating materials.
