A jig for fitting window sills into window openings has a main section with a screw adjuster in the center and with pressure pads (6) at each end. The jig is braced between the inside walls of the window opening. Suction grips (10) on adjustable supports are clamped to the jig and hold the window sill in the required position until the bonding material, injected under the sill, sets to secure the sill. The vacuum grips are secured to the jig using clamping flanges.
