High density compacted washing and cleaning agent compositions based on codried mixture of amorphous sodium silicate and polymeric polycarboxylate

A codried aqueous mixture of amorphous Na silicate and a polymeric polycarboxylate is used together with other ingredients in the preparation of compacted washing and cleaning agents with a powder density of over 700 g/l. A process for preparing a compacted washing and/or cleaning agent with a powder density of over 700 g/l comprises spraying an aqueous composition containing an amorphous silicate with a ratio Na2O:SiO2 of 1:2 to 1:3.3 (1:2 to 1:2.8) and a polymeric polycarboxylate with a molecular weight of 500-10,000 g/mol together with other washing- and/or cleaning agent ingredients into a drying unit in which granulation can take place simultaneously with the drying; if necessary mixing the resulting washing agent base composition with additional ingredients; and compacting the resulting composition.
