PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable repetitive use even in surface treatment including a high temperature heating step by using a plastic material obtained by polymerization using a metallocene compound as a catalyst. SOLUTION: The masking material 31 has a square box-shaped body 31A and an adhesive layer 31B formed on the lower surface of the body 31A. The body 31A comprises plastic of metallocene polyethylene obtained by polymerization using bis(cyclopentadienyl)titanium dichloride as a catalyst. A sheet of the metallocene polyethylene is vacuum-molded and the metallocene polyethylene is crystallized by heating to produce the body 31A. The adhesive layer 31B is coated with a releasable sheet 31C such as a polyethylene film, a polypropylene film or releasable paper.
