PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-quality polycarbonate resin composition for optical use excellent in hue stability. SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) a polycarbonate perpared by adding a sulfur-containing acidic compound having <=3 value of pKa or its derivative in an amount within the range of 0.1-4.5 ppm to a reactional product obtained by carrying out the melt polycondensation of bisphenols with a carbonic diester in the presence of an alkaline compound catalyst, (B) phosphorous acid, (C) the sulfur-containing acidic compound having <=3 value of pKa or its derivative and (D) an ester derived from a 10-22C monovalent fatty acid and a polyhydric alcohol. The amounts of the contained components based on the polycarbonate (A) are 0.1-10 ppm of the phosphorous acid (B), 0.1-3 ppm of the acidic compound (C) and 50-1,000 ppm of the ester (D).
