PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a member for a pulverizer which member has high hardness and good abrasion resistance and is chemically stable. SOLUTION: As ceramics of a member for a pulverizer, a boron carbide sintered compact consisting essentially of boron carbide, containing 0.05∼5 wt.% of silicon compounds, having the content of 1000 ppm or less of each of alkali metal, alkali earth metal, and transition metal elements, and having relative density of 96% or more is used. The tip of the member (target) of the pulverizer is made so as to be freely attachable and detachable such as O-ring joining type. |
