PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly remove non-coagulating ink remaining on the surface of an anode of an electrocoagulation printing apparatus, without producing any adverse effect on dots of colored coagulating ink, and thereby to make an image clear. SOLUTION: A squeegee device 10 is equipped with a blade member 24 of an elastic material which is provided in extension almost parallel to the longitudinal axis of an anode 14 and has two planes 26 and 28 so crossing as to demarcate and form a linear edge part 30 coming into contact with the surface of the anode 14 and with holding means 36 and 38 which hold the blade member 24 so as to maintain a state wherein the edge part 30 is pressed on the surface of the anode 14, in contact therewith. One plane 26 out of the two planes 26 and 28 demarcates an ink holding surface which holds surplus non-coagulating ink carried by the anode 14 on the upstream side of the blade member 24. The ink holding surface slants at an angle of 100-160 deg. to the radial direction 32 of the anode 14 in the opposite direction to the direction of rotation of the anode 14. |
