PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a revetment structure in which an ecological sysyem is taken into consideration while using studs supporting a floor slab of a pier type quaywall and forming a habitat for aquatic lifes at an optional place in accordance with arrangement of the studs, and which can be easily and costlessly constructed in either cases of a new quaywall or an existing quaywall. SOLUTION: A space between studs 2 of a pier type quaywall 1 is closed by many partition panels 4 installed through cylindrical joints 5 inserted into the studs 2, and rubble stones 6 are fed in the inside. The top level of the partition panels 4 is raised up to the low tide level LWL and the rubble stones 6 are piled up stepwise, and a part of the stones are always exposed above the sea level and the area in the vicinity of the partition panels 4 forms a shoal 7b in the low tide. In this way, the central stages of the tiers 7 are positioned in a zone 7a between high and low tides to form a habitat or a hiding space for aquatic lifes such as crevices in rocks, rear sides of boulder stones, tide pools, etc. Slits 4a through which water passes are provided in the partition panel 4 of the front face so that seawater can be exchanged between the inside and the outside of the closing part.
