DYKE BREAK MONITORING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To profit for prevention of a disaster by surely detecting abnormality of a bank before it leads to dyke break. SOLUTION: A reinforced optical fiber cable 3 is piped on the slope part of a bank in zigzag, the cable apex of the side of a top end 16 is fixed on an anchor pile 4 by a fiber grip cleat, weight 5 is distributed to be attached to the cable of the side of the slope of a toe, and buried in earth to constitute a monitor sensor. The secular change of the strain of the optical fiber of the sensor is observed by an optical fiber strain measuring instrument 11 to find the abnormality part of the bank from strain change.
