PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agitator with an inclined shaft, capable of preventing the adhesion or fixing of a material to be agitated, such as a food material, around the inclined shaft in a heating kettle and of being easily washed. SOLUTION: This agitator with an inclined shaft accommodates an upper inclined shaft 4 rotated by a motor 3, a circular stirrer, and a lower inclined shaft 6 in a heating kettle 1 with a hemispherical bottom 1a. The upper inclined shaft 4 and the lower inclined shaft 6 are fixed on the outer circumference of the stirrer 5 to lie on a straight line while being faced to each other, and no inclined shaft is installed in the stirrer 5. The stirrer 5 is provided with one and the other agitating members 7a, 7b as an agitating means 7, and the stirrer 5 and the agitating means 7 are rotated by the rotation of the upper inclined shaft 4.
