摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new DNA for production of pantothenic acid containing a base sequence encoding a ketopantoatehydroxymethyltransferase gene, etc., of a specific base sequence and capable of being copied in a microorganism belonging to the genus Corynebacterium. SOLUTION: This new DNA capable of being copied in a microorganism belonging to the genus Corynebacterium has at least one nucleotide sequence selected from a group of genes encoding a panB-gene (a ketopantoatehydroxymethyltransferase) expressed in formula I, especially panBC- operon, and as the case may be, ilvD-gene (a dihydroxyaciddehydratase) expressed by formula II, originated from Corynebacterium and as the case may be, being a recombinant, and is useful for producing D-pantothenic acid by using Corynebacterium type bacteria. The DNA is obtained by cloning from chromosomes of Corynebacterium glutamicum.
