PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately sense the operating amount made by a driver and reduce the computing load of a control device required to correct the output of a sensor. SOLUTION: The braking operation amount Bs based upon the stamping stroke Sp is computed during the non-braking mode when the running is going to be started (S140), and the braking operation amount Bs is set to zero-point correction amount Bso (S150). The braking operation amount Bp based upon the master cylinder pressure Pm is computed during the non-braking mode when the vehicle is running (S200), and the deviation Esp between Bp and Bs is computed (S210), and on the basis of the absolute of the deviation Eps, judgement is passed if it is necessary for computing the zero-point correction amount for the braking operation amount Bp (S220), and if yes, the zero-point correction amount Bpo for the braking operation amount is set to Bp (S230). The braking operation amounts Bs and Bp are corrected with the zero-point correction amounts Bso and Bpo, respectively.
