PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly provide a filter cloth for use in a solid-liquid separation apparatus such as a filter press in a tensioned state while achieving satisfactory sealability, miniaturization and compactification, to secure satisfactory solid- liquid separation function, and to improve the handling properties. SOLUTION: The filter plate main body 8' fitted to a filter frame 15 in a filter plate 4' is made of a hard steel panel and a predetermined number of bosses 22 of urethane are provided on both surfaces thereof in a projected state so as to be brought into mutual surface contact state and slurry supply parts are provided to the central part thereof in opposed relationship and filter cloth is applied to the surface of the filter plate main body 8' to achieve the exudation of a filtrate through the filter cloth and a mesh sheet. In the connection part between the filter plate main body 8' and the filter frame 5, a reinforcing member of a highly elastic hard resin of urethane and the bosses 22 are integrally molded by a mold to keep good sealability, strength and rigidity while achieving wt. reduction.
