PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the strength and rigidity of a filter plate used in a solid- liquid separation apparatus such as a filter press sufficient while reducing the wt. thereof, to secure satisfactory sealability while making the filter plate small- sized and compact, to sufficiently keep the solid-liquid separation function and to improve the handling properties. SOLUTION: The filter plate main boy 8' fitted to a filter frame 15 in a filter plate 4' is formed out of a hard steel plate, and a predetermined number of bosses 22 made of urethane are provided on both side surfaces thereof in a projected state so as to be brought into mutual surface contact, and slurry supply parts 12' are provided in the central part of the filter plate main body 8' in mutually opposed relationship and the exudation of a filtrate is achieved through a mesh sheet without forming solid-liquid guide grooves on the surface of the filter plate main body 8' and, in the connection part between the filter plate main body 8' and the filter frame 15, a reinforcing member 14 and the bosses 22 of a highly elastic hard resin of urethane are integrally molded by a mold to keep good sealability, strength and rigidity while achieving wt. reduction.
