PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate waste of a recording sheet by determining correspondence between a print face designated by a print command and the inserting face of the recording sheet and disabling print processing when they do not correspond with each other thereby preventing erroneous print data from being printed. SOLUTION: When a data receiving section 202 receives a data transmitted from a host 220 through an interface 201, the receiving data is analyzed at a receiving data analyzing section 203. When a recording sheet is inserted from an insertion opening, an inserted side detecting section 207 receiving an electromagnetic waveform read out by an MICR reader determined the inserted side of the recording sheet. If the rear side of the recording sheet is inserted and the receiving data does not match the results of analysis (surface print command), erroneous insertion of recording sheet is notified from a data transmitting section 210 to the host 220 and the recording sheet is discharged. |
