PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for molding a thin molded sheet article comprising a rubber sheet product such as a diaphragm which includes a reinforcing cloth and has a desired shape. SOLUTION: In a method for preparing rubber product including a reinforcing cloth, an unvulcanized rubber, which exhibits shape memory properities when vulcanized, is applied onto both the opposite sides of a reinforcing cloth and vulcanized to make a vulcanized flat rubber sheet, which sheet is heated to a temperature equal to or higher than the critical temperature of a shape memory rubber and pressed into a predetermined shape. The sheet having the predetermined shape is then cooled to a temperature equal to or lower than the critical temperature and removed from a die. In this case, the flat vulcanized sheet is pressed by using an upper and lower dies or a vacuum air-pressure molding die. |
