PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the number of transmitters while a high reliability is secured. SOLUTION: This signal transmission device 200 of a track circuit is equipped with a plurality of first transmitters 21 to make signal transmission to the applicable divisions 1T-8T of the track, wherein the arrangement includes a second transmitter 220 capable of transmitting signals to the applicable divisions instead of any of the first transmitters 21 and a third transmitter 240 capable of transmitting signals to the applicable divisions instead of any of the first transmitters 21 and second transmitter 220. The shared changeover system of multi-stage configuration in which even spare units are included in the object to be changed over ensures a high reliance despite its smaller number of transmitters provided.
