PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy for correcting parallelism, and to facilitate a work therefor by providing a device for correcting parallelism comprising a pair of pins attachable/detachable to/from holes in a die and a bar to be stretched between a pair of these pins to correctly determine the abutting position. SOLUTION: This device for correcting parallelism comprises a pair of pins 5 attachable/detachable to/from holes 4b of a die 4, and a bar 6 to be stretched between a pair of the pins 5. When the die 4 is machined, the die 4 is placed on a table 2 of a machine 1, projecting parts 5a of a pair of the pins 5 are tightly fitted to the holes 4b, and a pair of the pins 5 are fitted to the die 4 while a lower part of a head part 5b is abutted on an upper surface of the die 4. Then, the bar 6 is fitted in a groove part 5c of a pair of the pins 5, and the bar 6 is stretched between a pair of the pins 5. Then, a tester 7 is fitted by the head 3, the tester 7 is abutted on a side of the bar 6 on the side of a pair of the pins 5, the head 3 is moved in the X-direction, and the tester 7 is moved to the side of the other pins 5 to correct parallelism.
