PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tending machine lowering the center of gravity as possible, enhancing operability by locating a speed reducer and a clutch on a specific position of the circumference of a cultivating shaft. SOLUTION: In the tending machine transmitting power from an engine through a driving shaft to the cultivating shaft 21 at the lower position, a speed reducer 29 and a clutch 50 interrupting the power transmitted to the cultivating shaft 21, are placed on the circumference of the cultivating shaft 21 by installing the speed reducer 29 on the connecting part of the driving shaft and the cultivating shaft 21, and installing the clutch 50 adjacent to the speed reducer 29. In this case, the speed reducer 29 preferably comprises a worm installed on the driving shaft and a worm wheel rotatably installed on the cultivating shaft 21.
