PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect energy resources by automatically stopping the engine of an automobile at an intersection so as to reduce environmental pollution by exhaust gas, and save fuel. SOLUTION: A dedicated battery is mounted in addition to an automobile- mounted battery, and when an operation snap switch is turned ON, an inverter is operated to output AC 100 V. When an accelerator pedal is released to press a brake pedal, a relay is actuated to execute charging. When the pressing of the brake pedal is continued, the relay is operated to stop an engine for 8 to 20 sec. (maximum 30 sec.). The stopping time of the automobile is adjustable. When a change lever is moved from D to N to release a foot from the brake pedal, the engine is started. In the case of a manual car, when a clutch pedal is pressed and a foot is released from a brake pedal, an engine is started. For a mini-relay, a contact A is operated at the contact capacity of 10A, and for stopping, a contact B is operated at the contact capacity of 10A. |
