PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate various troubles involved in the case that a rotor is integrally attached or detached together with a spindle shaft. SOLUTION: This unit in which a driving motor M for driving a spindle shaft 1 is coaxially disposed and which is used for twisting a yarn by the rotation of the spindle shaft 1 is provided with a sleeve 11 to whose outer circumferential surface separately formed from the spindle shaft 1 the rotor 12 of the driving motor M is fixed, a motor housing to whose inner circumferential surface the stator of the driving motor M is fixed, and bearings 18, 17 for rotatably supporting the sleeve 11 on the motor housing at the upper and lower portions of the rotor 12. The spindle shaft 1 can be inserted into or withdrawn from the sleeve 11. Thereby, the spindle shaft 1 can be inserted or withdrawn separately from the rotor 12 of the driving motor M.
