<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal printer and a method for controlling printing capable of performing the printing wherein two colors are printed by one printing operation on a two-color thermal paper in accordance with printing data including two-color information. SOLUTION: Print data for a high temperature color is inputted to a thermal head 14 from a head control section 122 and a strobe signal is applied thereto such that a time period obtained by subtracting an applying time period suitable for coloring a low temperature color from an applying time period suitable for coloring the high temperature color is set as an ON-state of the strobe signal. Next, print data for mixture of the high temperature color and low temperature color is inputted to the thermal head 14 from the head control section 122, then the strobe signal of which the ON-state is an applying time period suitable for coloring the low temperature color is applied thereto.</p> |
