PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melted liquid-receiving crucible for producing a single crystal of silicon, capable of producing a dislocation-free silicon single crystal and having excellent handleability and profitability even in a case of a large diameter crucible. SOLUTION: The peripheral wall portion of a melted liquid-receiving crucible 10 for receiving the melted liquid of a raw material is formed in a state capable of being divided into an upper opening portion 11 and a main body portion 12 in a portion to be fit into an outer holding crucible 20. The division position is formed above the upper limit position of a liquid surface level. The opening portion 11 can repeatedly be used. The opening portion 11 can surely be supported together with the main body portion by the outer holding crucible 20.
