PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently bend the metallic wires protruding from the end face of wired glass and to simultaneously subject these wires to a rust preventive treatment. SOLUTION: A pressing means which consists of end face pressing rollers 11 for pressing and rotating the end faces along the end face of a glass sheet G, a positioning means which is integrated with the pressing means and consists of lower rollers 2 rotating in contact with the rear surface of the glass sheet near the end face, a coating liquid supplying means 30 which is integrated with the pressing means and has a nozzle 31 for applying a rust preventive to the bent metallic wires 2 on the rear end side in the progressing direction of the pressing means in proximity to the end face of the glass sheet and leveling rollers 4 which level off the applied rust preventive liquid on the end face are arranged in order of the end face pressing rollers, the nozzle and the leveling rollers in contact with the end face of the glass sheet.
