PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make stabilized use possible for a long period of time even though being used under a certain high temperature range or in a high-moisture ambient while being free from losing a shape for holding article of a shape keeping member by making up an article holding member out of thermoplastic resin. SOLUTION: For an article holding tool 10, an article holding member 14 is installed at base members 11 and 12 through a height adjustment member 13, and an article 1 (for instance a container) is held therewith. Thermoplastic resin such as polyethylene resin forming the article holding member 14 has a high softening point and does not deform to restore its initial shape even though being softened. Therefore, when a thermoplastic resin plate 16 is used for the article holding member 14 of the article holding tool 10 and given a shape for holding article, the article holding member 14 made of thermoplastic resin plate 16 does not lose its article holding shape even though the article holding tool 10 is passed through a certain high temperature area at the temperature of 50-60 deg.C, because the temperature in the high temperature area is relatively low as compared with the softening point of the thermoplastic resin, and also does not deform in swelling with moisture absorbed.
