PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intramedullary needle which is usable even in the case of a comminuted fracture or the presence of a fracture at the terminal of a long pipe bone and allows the passage of a distal lateral stopping screw through the hole of the intramedullary needle in the hole from outside for the purpose of fixing the same. SOLUTION: A rod body which is the chief body of the intramedullary needle 1 is composed of a viscoelastic high-polymer material, for example, a polyvinyl alcohol hydrogel (PVA-H). A head cover crown 2 and front end cover crown 3 made of titanium material for the purpose of executing joining to the bone are installed to both ends of this rod body IP. The rod body of the intramdedullary needle is composed of the viscoelastic high-polymer material, for example, PVA-H. A fitting of stainless steel is inserted into the rod body and the head cover crown 2 and front end cover crown 3 made of the titanium material for the purpose of executing joining to the bone are installed to both ends thereof. |
