PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bulk metallic glass having high reliability. high ductility with >=70% cold drawing rate, and excellent mechanical characteristics after cold drawing than the characteristics of the material as cast. SOLUTION: A molten metal 3 consisting of an alloy compsn. having glass forming ability which can form a metallic glass is held and pressed between a lower die 1 and an upper die 2 composed of water-cooled forming dies having high thermal conductivity so that the molten metal 2 is solidified while pressed and drawn to obtain a bulk metallic glass having nanoparticles dispersed in the amorphous phase. Further, the high ductile nanoparticle dispersion metallic glass is subjected to cold drawing to obtain a product. |
