PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water supply device having refuse eliminating function facilitating the maintaining of a pump, resisting breaking down, and being capable of rapidly starting the pump. SOLUTION: This water supply device for supplying water from natural water sources to a requested location comprises an introducing part arranged so as to sink in the water sources and into which water is introduced, a pump 3 sucking the water through the introducing part, and a refuse eliminating system 4 provided between the introducing part and the pump 3 for eliminating refuse in the water introduced from the introducing part. Between the introducing part and the eliminating system, a priming water supply system 5 for always filling a pipe line upstream from at least the pump 3 with priming water is provided.
