FLAME-RETARDANT TACKY AGENT OR TACKY TAPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject tacky agent capable of manifesting excellent tacky characteristics and flame retardance without generating a toxic halogen- based gas at the time of combustion by compounding a microencapsulated specific flame retardant in a tacky agent composition. SOLUTION: This tacky agent is obtained by compounding preferably 35-50 wt.% of a microencapsulated aromatic phosphoric ester-based flame retardant and a microencapsulated phosphoric ester-based flame retardant in a tacky agent composition. The shell material of the microcapsule is preferably a polyurea or a melamine resin. The flame retardant preferably has 5-10 wt.% phosphorus content. The tacky agent is formed on at least one surface of a substrate to thereby afford a flame-retardant tacky tape. The resultant tacky tape preferably has >=50 gf/19 mm adhesive strength according to JIS C 2575. The flame-retardant tacky agent or tacky tape preferably has <60 s number of seconds of continuous combustion according to UL 510FR.
