<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent noise generation at a cold temperature and to resolve separate troubles caused by the noise generation by determining the parameters of a ball bearing used for the tension pulley of a belt based on the relation with a specific vibration damping coefficient. SOLUTION: A tension pulley bearing having a fixed inner ring 1 and a belt-driven outer ring 2 is modeled, the axial direction is made (y), the radial direction is made (z), and the peripheral direction is made (x). When the outer ring 2 and balls 3 are rotated and revolved and the outer ring 2 is displaced in the direction (y) and the number of balls 3 is 7-12, bearing parameters are set to satisfy the relation of the equation cq>=(π2ω2/3600)×(D9ρ2N/Δr), where N is the number of balls 3, D is the diameter of the balls 3, (c) is the axial damping coefficient of the bearing, (q) is the damping coefficient for the rotational motion in the direction of the contact angleθx,Δr is the inner ring groove radius + outer ring groove radius - ball diameter,ωis the rotating speed of the balls 3,ρis the material density of the balls 3, the value of cq is 25×10-6(N2s2), and the value ofωwhen the bearing rotating speed is 3600 rpm is used.</p> |
