PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rivet constructed to be able to tighten an object to be adhered tightly and separate easily, and to obtain a tightening method using the rivet. SOLUTION: A rivet 10 includes a head unit 12 and a shaft unit 20 formed integrally. A groove 14 for a drive is formed on the upper surface of the head unit 12 and a recessed part 16 forming female threads 18 is formed on the lower surface. A protruded part 22 forming male threads 24 is formed on the shaft unit 20 and a hollow unit 26 is formed from the tip to the middle part. By calking the rivet 10, the tip of the shaft unit 20 can be crushed to fix an objet to be adhered. At this time, a groove for driver is made at the tip of the crushed shaft 20. When this rivet 10 is used to fix a binder on the cover, the cover and the binder can be separated easily.
