PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a joint for one-side welding from being easily broken by forming edge parts of members overlapped on the outside of a lap joint of one-side welding into comb-shapes and performing welding along the comb- shaped edge parts. SOLUTION: Each end part of face plates 12 and 13 to be joined to each of upper and lower surfaces of an end member 11 as a lap joint w1 is formed into a comb-shape (b) and fillet welding is performed from the outside along the comb-shaped edge part. Because of this comb-shaped joint w1, breaking due to shearing is made difficult to generated. Further, even if bending moment is generated according to displacement of the end member 11 to a right side by deformation at the time of impact, welding bead is difficult to be broken against the bending moment by a length corresponding to depths of comb teeth. Because welding bead of the joint w1 is difficult to be broken in this way, an event of breaking between the end member 11 and the face plates 12/13 is difficult to be generated and an end beam 1 is capable of absorbing impact energy by face outside deformation of the face plates 12/13.
