<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe foam core sandwich board excellent in the dimensional stability of a core material even under high temp. environment and not lowered in the strength of the whole thereof. SOLUTION: The ratio of the compression strength in the thickness direction to the plane direction of the core material 2 of a foam core sandwich board is set to 1.5 or less. A surface material 1 is pref. laminated to the surface of the core material 2 through an adhesive layer and pref. comprises a fiber reinforced resin material containing carbon fibers as reinforcing fibers. In producing the foam core sandwich board, the core material 2 is preliminarily heat-treated at temp. equal to or higher than the thermal deformation temp. of the plastic foam constituting the core material 2 of the board.</p> |
