<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject slider intended for knitting socks, significantly reduced in the number of moving cams necessary for actuating the slider. SOLUTION: This slider has a narrow and long thin piece 12 containing a 1st longitudinal side face 13 and arranged at the curve-surfaced bottom of the axial slot 81 of a lower or upper side knitting needle cylinder 80 and at least two heels 15, 16 projected transversely to the longitudinal direction of the piece 12 from a 2nd longitudinal side face opposite to the 1st side face 13; wherein the piece 12 has a means 17 having the function to hook with a knitting needle 8 and situated near either one of longitudinal ends, and the 1st heel 15 is disposed on such a portion 19 of the piece 12 as to be mobile, relative to the rest, transversely to the longitudinal direction of the piece 12, being movable from its non-actuating position to actuating position, or vice versa, and standing apart from the 1st side face 13 when it is situated at its actuating position compared to the case when it is situated at its non-actuating position.</p> |
