PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding sash whereby it can be confirmed easily whether a screen stop mechanism is in locked condition or unlocked condition and which is high in safety. SOLUTION: A lateral frame 5 of a sliding sash 1 comprises a stopper receiver 11 midway in the moving direction of a screen 7. The screen 7 comprises a stopper member 29 installed, engageably with the stopper receiver 11, on the inside of a lateral rail 21, an operating part 49 which releases the stopper member 29 from the stopper receiver 11, and an indication part 51 which indicates the engagement and release of the stopper member 29 and the stopper receiver 11. The indication part 51 is indicated on the indoor surface of the screen 7, and the operating part 49 is an operating knob which is operated from the outdoor side of the screen 7.
