PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress infiltration of water into a reel main body in the reel main body of a lever brake type spinning reel. SOLUTION: In this lever brake type spinning reel, a pooled water in depressed concave grooves 13 and 15 formed for receiving a brake lever 30 in a reel main body 2 is prevented from infiltrating into a mechanism receiving space 14 through a through hole 17, by forming a bank part 18 around an opened port of the through hole 17 in a bottom part 15a of the depressed groove 15.
