PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To treat ash containing heavy metals easily and to prevent the elution of the heavy metals surely. SOLUTION: Roasted dextrin 1×103-1×106 in molecular weight prepared from starch whose amylose content is 20% or below is mixed into ash containing heavy metals to fix the heavy metals. When roasted dextrin phosphate is added in an amount of 0.8-20 wt.%, the effect of treatment is improved.
