PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bloodstream promoter capable of improving metabolic disorders in local tissues due to the lowering of a peripheral bloodstream and manifesting excellent bloodstream promoting effects and excellent in feeling of use with only slight problems about use such as an odor or irritation. SOLUTION: This bloodstream promoter contains at least one kind selected from benzoic acid, an alkali metal salt of the benzoic acid, benzaldehyde, cuminaldehyde, myrtenal and hydroxycitronellal as an active ingredient. The bloodstream promoter can be formulated to a composition for an oral cavity, a medicine, a cosmetic, a hair growth agent, a bathing agent, a preparation for external use, or the like, for use in improving periodontal diseases, dullness of skin, alopecia, stiffness of shoulders, myalgia, or the like.
