PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To oxidize the C=C double bond of a specific compound in high space time yield advantageously in terms of handleability and economy by enantioselectively epoxidizing the compound using a diastereomer, an enantiomer-rich homopolyamino acid and an oxidizing agent in the presence of water and organic solvent(s). SOLUTION: A compound the formula (R1 and R2 are each a 1-18C alkyl, 2-18C alkenyl, or the like) is enantioselectively epoxidized pref. at 15-30 deg.C and pH 7-14 using a diastereomer, an enantiomer-rich homopolyamino acid (pref. polyneopentylglycine or the like) and an oxidizing agent (pref. a peroxide or the like) in the presence of water and one or several kinds of organic solvent miscible with water (pref. DMF, acrylonitrile, and/or the like); wherein the weight ratio water/DMF is pref. (10:1) to (1:10), and the catalyst ratio to the substrate to be reacted is pref. (1:1) to (0.005:1).
