PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the formation of a notch section with a large fatigue notch factor on a bearing, to prevent the damage of the bearing and to allow a long- period operation by inclining the outer face of a bearing cylinder against the axial direction of a rotary shaft, and bringing the inner face of a bearing box into contact with an inclined face. SOLUTION: To prevent the rotation of a bearing 1 in a vertical stirring apparatus, for example, the outer face of a bearing cylinder is inclined against the axial direction of a stirring shaft 7, and the inner face of a bearing box 2 is kept in contact with an inclined face. The bearing box 2 is fixed to the inner face of a container by a bearing support 8. Even if the bearing 1 tends to be rotated by the rotation of the stirring shaft 7, the bearing 1 is brought into contact with the inclined face of the bearing box 2, and the rotation of the bearing 1 is prevented. An upper flange 3 for preventing the upward movement of the bearing 1 is fitted by bolts 4. This bearing 1 has no portion with a large fatigue notch factor, thus the bearing 1 is hardly damaged even when an impact is applied to the bearing 1 by stirring.
