PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent crevice corrosion in a clearance by preventing the clearance from being generated in a peripheral groove caused by insertion of a nozzle sleeve. SOLUTION: In this mounting structure of a fuel injection nozzle, a water jacket part 2 whose upper and lower parts are demarcated by upper wall part 4 and a lower wall part 3 is formed in a cylinder head 1, axial through holes 7, 6 are provided on the upper wall part 4 and the lower wall part 3, a nozzle sleeve 8 is inserted through those through holes 7, 6, and a fuel injection nozzle 18 is inserted into the nozzle sleeve 8. A plurality of seal members 14, 15 are provided between the inner surface of the through hole 7 of the upper wall part 4 and the nozzle sleeve 8 in a line in the nozzle sleeve axial direction, a plurality of peripheral grooves 13a, 13b for mounting the seal members 14, 15 are provided on the nozzle sleeve 8, and the groove width of the lowermost peripheral groove 13a out of the peripheral grooves 13a, 13b is set to the groove width smaller than that of the other peripheral groove 13b.
