PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the washing ability of a dishwasher without enlarging the equipment and increasing the running cost. SOLUTION: In this dishwasher, having a washing tank 101 in which articles to be washed are housed, a washing means 111 which jets washing water to the articles to be washed, and a washing pump 109 which sucks in the washing water stored in the washing tank 101 and discharges the water to the washing means 111, a gas-liquid mixer 116 which introduces a gas into the stream of the washing water, is provided in the washing water suction path or the discharge path of the washing pump 109, and an air suction path 117 is branched and formed by the gas-liquid mixer 116. At the same time, a switch 118 for the air suction path 117 is provided in the air suction path. The dishwasher mixes and makes a gas fine in the stream of the washing water which is formed by the washing pump 109, or mixes fine air bubbles, and the gas-liquid two-phase stream is jetted to the articles to be washed.
