PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatize the operation for adjusting the position of a fourth packer by utilizing the function that the root end-arranging mechanism is controlled so as to be transferred in culm direction in accordance with the root end position change of the discharged straw. SOLUTION: This discharged straw-treating device in a combine, is provided by installing a root end-detecting means for detecting the root end of the discharged straw conveyed from a discharged straw-conveying device, constituting a root end-arranging mechanism 55 for performing a beating action of the root end of the discharged straw collected in a converging space so as to be driven for transferring in the straw culm-discharging direction based on the detection result by the root end-detecting device and mounting a supplemental packer 51 at the tip most part of a raking in packer 15 for raking in the discharged straw into the converging space. The supplemental packer 51 is constituted by a tip side movable packer 51a capable of freely left and right sliding and a fixed position root side-fixing packer 51b, and a wire type interlocking mechanism R for transferring the movable packer 51a and the root end- arranging mechanism 55 in a same direction, is installed.
