PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motion guiding device having a rust-resistant guiding rail on its entire surface. SOLUTION: A linear motion guiding bearing device 1 serving as a linear motion guiding device is provided with a guiding rail 3 and a slider. The guiding rail 3 is formed by extending in the unidirection. Both the right and left side 23, 24 of the guiding rail 3 form a rolling groove 5 for a rolling element and a recessed side part 20, respectively. Each rolling groove 5 for the rolling element is provided with a recessed groove 27 for a retainer recessedly formed from the groove bottom. The guiding rail 3 is provided with a chamfer part 21 on both the right and left end of the bottom part, respectively. The guiding rail 3 is obtained through; heat treatment application to its base material 28; grinding machining application to the upper and the lower surface 25, 26, respectively; simultaneous grinding application to the sides 23, 24 and the rolling groove 5 for the rolling element by means of first integrally formed grinding wheels 31 with each other; and removal application, including grinding to the recessed side parts 20, the chamfer parts 21, and the grooves 27 for the retainer, and the like.
