PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relieve the internal pressure of a rotor, eliminate the breakage of parts due to a rise of the internal pressure of the rotor, and operate (a canned motor pump) without replacement of the parts. SOLUTION: In a canned motor pump, at least one of sealing members provided between a shaft inserting part at the bottom of a rotor can 3 and a shaft 1, between the inner periphery of an opening part of the rotor can 3 and the outer periphery of a partition plate 7, and between a shaft inserting part of a partitioning plate 7 and the shaft 1, respectively, is defined as a seal ring 21, whose sectional form is of nearly a letter U, having seal pieces 21a, 21b. When the pressure within the rotor becomes high, the seal pieces 21a, 21b of the seal ring 21, (whose sectional form is of nearly a letter U) deform to lose a sealing function, relieving the internal pressure to the outside.
