PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper device consisting of a stay to be pivoted and a pivot stay in a small and low-cost construction to be easily engaged. SOLUTION: A wiper device for a vehicle includes a wiper blade held through a stay to be pivoted 20 which is rotatable and has either of a hemispherical engaging projection 24 and a recess 34 to be engaged therewith 24 while a pivot stay 30 has the other thereof, and through engagement of the two parts, the stay to be pivoted 20 and the wiper blade are held rotatably in spherical engagement, so that the stay 20 can rotate in any direction, which allows suppressing concentrated application of a load in one direction of the projection 24, and a small radius of sphere can be introduced or the stay may satisfactorily be fabricated from a resin including the projection 24.
